At the core of ISC’s approach is the belief that sustainable solutions must be anchored in trust. In many underserved communities, particularly in South Los Angeles, faith-based institutions remain some of the most trusted and consistent pillars of support. However, these institutions are often underutilized as gateways to clinical and social services. ISC seeks to activate this existing network—equipping churches and faith leaders with the training, tools, and partnerships necessary to identify needs early, respond appropriately, and connect individuals to a continuum of care that includes substance use treatment, mental health services, housing support, and reentry programs.
